1 The six kingdoms

2 Kingdom Anamalia Multicellular Advanced nervous system Can move
Heterotrophic- must eat food

3 Kingdom Plantae Multicellular, Eukaryotic
Have cell walls and chloroplasts Autotrophic- make their food Can not move from place to place

4 Kingdom Protista Unicellular Fungus-like protists Plant-like protists
Animal-like protists Grouped based on how they get their energy

5 Protista Movement-The Ameoba
Ameobas use pseudopods for movement. Pseudo means FALSE Pod means FOOT.

6 Protista Movement-The Euglena
Euglenas use flagella for movement. A Flagella is a whip-like structure.

7 Protista Movement-The Paramecium
Paramecium use cilia for movement. Cilia are hair-like structures.

8 Kingdom Fungi Eukaryotic, Have cell walls
Heterotrophs, sometimes decomposers Help cycle nutrients trough ecosystem All are multicellular EXCEPT YEAST Absorb their nutrients No chloroplasts

9 Kingdom Archaebacteria
Prokaryotes, No cell walls Found in extreme conditions Archae means ancient Live where most organisms can not live: acidic hot springs, undersea volcanic vents, highly salty waters

10 Kingdom Eubacteria Unicellular Prokaryotes Live in neutral conditions
Bacteria with chlorophyll are producers Bacteria that break down materials are decomposers Bacteria that are harmful to hosts are parasites
