Socratic Circle 2. Tone can be defined as the author or poet’s attitude toward their own subject matter. How does Mali shift the tone back and forth throughout this poem? 3. Imagery can be defined as what a reader can see, hear, smell, taste, and feel as a result of the descriptions an author/poet provides. Is there a particular image that you found effective in communicating the metaphor of this poem? Why?
