1 Shell Deer Park Best Practice
We are recommending everyone use the vendor, Baro Companies for all purchasing or repairing of Level Gages (Manufacturer: Quest-Tec Solutions). Some of you have been using Baro; however, we have been working with Baro at the EOM on a trial basis for the last 18 months on outsourcing all level gage repairs with tremendous success. When an Operator sees a problem with a sight glass they will valve it out and write a notification. The pipe fitter will then pull the gage and call Baro; Baro will pick it up and return the gage (in one day to one week depending on the nature of the gage) with a “same as new” warranty. Baro has someone on call The process gage warranty is one year and steam gage warranties varies depending on the temperatures and pressures. Should the gage not be able to be repaired then Baro will call the contact and let them know that the gage is not repairable and their for will need to be replaced with a new one. Repaired gages cost between 45%-65% of what a new gage costs and still come with the new warranty. We have also worked with Baro on Quest-Tec’s new LED Illuminator for our sight glasses. These are working well without the traditional problems of the old style. Your main contacts will be: Rhett Baker cell # (281) Jeff Schaatt cell # (281) Horacio Salinas office # (281) cell # (832) Recommendation by : Mark Givens
