Introduction Cherry is a fruit species of great economic importance because of the nutritional property, technological and commercial attributes of the fruits and the biological properties of the trees to capitalize on a wide variety of pedoclimatic conditions in the plain, hilly or even submontane areas. Conclusions and recommendations
Climate conditions had a very important role in successfully conducting hybridation operations, with unfavorable climatic conditions adversely affecting the number of hybrids and hybrids produced. New Star had good compatibility with most varieties with which it was crossed, especially with the Early Red and Giant Red varieties, with even more than 30% hybrids in 2018. A very low sampling rate has been observed due to stratification over a longer period, we recommend that the stratification period be maximum 120 days. In 2018 a mean percentage of 26.74% of hybrid fruit was obtained The Early Red and Giant Red varieties gave the best results as paternal genres (♂).
