3. Why are we writing Principal Snell?
Asking him to send our transcript to a college or university.
Transcript-your permanent record. It includes your grades, behavior reports, and test scores.

4. Here’s an example to get you started…
Dear Mr. Snell: My name is (full legal name) and I attended Griffin Middle School from August 2010-May I am requesting that you send my transcript to: Spelman College 1234 Spelman Lane Atlanta, GA 30303

Write a letter to our Principal and properly address the envelope. (Due: 12/16/11)
Can be written in blue or black ink or typed.
Don’t forget to get the mailing address for your college/university.
READ for 30 minutes each night, and fill out your reading log.
Reading logs are due on Tuesday ( )
In order to meet the 25 Book Standard, you must read at least 900 pages per nine weeks.

6. Business Letter Performance Task:
Write a letter to our Principal and properly address the envelope. (Due: Today)
