English part 2 Ambiguous words and phrases.
Meaning- when a word or phases has two possible meanings That’s a big book. That book has many pages. That book’s cover is large. Pronoun references- make sure you are clear about which subject you are speaking about is clear. This causes many confusions in sentences.

Fix these sentences He was standing next to the car on the corner.
Connor told Mark that he needed glasses. I heard they were going to repave our street.

Redundancy and wordiness
Redundancy is the reputation of ideas within a sentence. Wordiness is the use of extra words to convey a message that could be done with less words

Run-on sentences Run-on sentences- is a sentence that lacks punctuation. Run-ons are not always long sentences Example: I am a woman I am a truck driver

When to use who and whom Use whom when the subject is receiving the action Use who when the subject is doing the action.

Tone Is another element of effective writing
Tone is the mood or attitude conveyed by words or speech. Remember punctuation changes tone dramatically. Wait, I’m coming with you Wait-I’m coming with you!
