Research data repository for students' own results
Ari Asmi, University of Helsinki, Finland.

Current Challenges Data management and metadata inclusion are not part of “normal scientific practice” One way to make a change in research culture is to change education There are specific courses for this – but data management is not yet part of normal course work.
3
Why EUDAT? EUDAT is a good partner of U. Helsinki and has readily available service for this kind of small data submission (B2SHARE) Specific benefits are also that B2SHARE is actually working system (not a course “play system”) and thus use in the courses give direct transferrable skill for the student.
4
The expected future impact
The use of data submission as a normal part of the scientific process is a key thing in any science education dealing with data. Such service could then have potential for wider use. The EUDAT support for B2SHARE are other associated services (authentication etc) are very important.
