2. The Problem
Which brand of dishwashing liquid will make the biggest bubble?

3. Materials 8 oz. of 3 different brands of dishwashing liquid Water
Measuring cup
Paper towels
Glycerin
Meter sticks
Drinking straws
Digital cameras

4. Procedures
Mix 1 cup dishwashing liquid with 50 drops glycerin and 1 gallon of water. Repeat for all 3 dishwashing liquids.
Pour approx. ¼ cup of soap solution on the table and use your hand to wet a table area approx. 18” in diameter.
Dip a straw into the soap solution, place it on the table and blow to form a bubble.
Take a digital photo of the bubble.
When the bubble pops, use the meter stick to measure the diameter of the soap ring.

The solution used was Joy dishwashing liquid.

9. Conclusion
Our group was surprised that Joy the less expensive dishwashing liquid made the biggest bubbles.
We predicted that the Ajax (most expensive) would make the biggest bubbles.
