Setting up your Price List (Material & Service Items)
You always wanted a price list! We call them Material or Service Items, and they're used extensively throughout Accelo Services and Materials - you can rename to Products, etc Create them through Accelo directly Import list from a CSV file (services don't have prices) Sync them from Xero, Quickbooks or Saasu Inventory/Item list Each item has a default/selected Account Ledger/Code and Tax Code
4
Item Types, Account Ledgers & Tax Codes
Each Type of Product (Material) or Service is tied back to an Account Ledger. This makes it easy to keep a clean Chart of Accounts and income statement while having lots of products & services to sell. Each Type of Product (Material) or Service is also tied to a Tax Code. This makes it easy to have domestic vs export items. Each Type of Product (Material) or Service item in a Quote, Project, Ticket or Retainer budget we will automatically use the right Account Ledger and Tax Code - making it easy for non-accountants to do invoicing. Using Item Types in Budgets
Setting out budgets for Quotes, Projects and Templates is critical! Now a lot easier with an improved interface and hiding the Account Ledger/Code and Tax Code info away. Each Milestone, Ticket and Task can use a Service Item - optional, but recommended. Each Material can use a Material Item - also optional but recommended. Your Budgets - including in Project templates then customize the title, quantity, price, etc, but use the default Ledger & Tax codes and push to accounting system as those items.
