Reading Homework Read story at home to an adult- at least 15 minutes per night *Vocabulary Book-This book will be brought home 3x a week. Vocabulary tests will be given on a Thursday. A selection test will be given on a Friday.

I will also have instructions posted on my website.

7 Student will have a spelling contract each week
Tests will always be given on a Friday Spelling words will be posted on my website in advance To practice your spelling words go to my website and click on “Spelling”. Then click on Spelling city. Spellingcity will help your child study their list by playing games and giving tests with their list words.

8 Science and Social Studies
I do not use percentages when I am grading assignments; I use a point system. A C A C B C B D B F 64 and below Science and Social Studies The students will receive either a S (Satisfactory) or an I (Needs Improvement- D or F – 74% or below)

9 Homework will always be written on the board in
order for the students to copy and review at the end of day. Homework Board Every student is responsible for writing homework in his/her homework book (supplied by PTO). Daily homework assignments MAY also be recorded on my website

10 Incomplete Homework Assignments

13 Classroom Rules Respect everyone and everything in the classroom. One person talks at a time. Use appropriate language. Do not talk back to anyone in the classroom.

16 PSSA Test Third grade takes the Math and Reading PSSA tests in the spring (March or April). In order for students to prepare for these tests, we will be using the computer program “Study Island” when we have computer lab. They may use this website at home to practice, but I would prefer that they take the tests in school.

17 4 Sight Test 4-Sight tests are tests to help teacher monitor student progress and gives some insight as to how the students will do on the PSSA’s 4 test will be given throughout the year. The first test will be on Sept. 26th and 27th AIMS web will be give three times a year
