Say the event and the date: I’m having a party on Saturday. We’re making a barbacue on Sunday. It’s our wedding next month.

Make the invitation: Do you want to come? Would you like to come? Do you want to have lunch with me? Would you like to have dinner in my house?

Accepting an invitation: Yes, I’d love to. Sure. It would be great. Yes, thank you. What time?

Refusing an invitation: I’m sorry, I can’t. Sorry. I’m afraid I can’t. I am busy at this time. I’m terribly sorry, I can’t.
