3. August 18, 2015 Agenda: Bellwork, High Middle Ages Notes, Review
Directions: Begin a new section of notes titled “Early Middle Ages”. Copy the following questions and terms:
Terms: William the Conqueror, Magna Carta, Crusades, Gothic, scholasticism, Black Death
Guiding Questions: Who had gained control of Jerusalem prior to the First Crusade? Why do you think Europeans took part in the Crusades? Who preserved the works of Greek and Roman philosophers? What were the elements of Gothic architecture? How did education change during the late Middle Ages?

4. August 19, 2015 Agenda: Bellwork, High Middle Ages Notes, Wrap Up
Bellwork: Copy and answer the following questions:
Why do you think the Magna Carta provided rights for only the nobility?
How do the ideas from the Magna Carta impact our American government today?

5. August 20, 2015
Agenda: Collect phones, Material Review, Middle Ages Quiz, Re-teach (if time allows)
Use the sticky notes I have given you to place your phone in the box. You will get your phone back at the end of class. If you do not give me your phone, and I see that you have a phone, you will receive a zero on the quiz.

6. August 21, 2015 Agenda: Background Info, Movie: Kingdom of Heaven
Directions: Fill out the movie guide throughout the course of the movie. Your work will be stamped for your Middle Ages Packet.
