8 The Parable Of The TALENTS.

9 Mt 25:14 — "For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. 15 "And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey. 16 "Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. 17 "And likewise he who had received two gained two more also. 18 "But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord's money. 19 "After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them. 20 "So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, 'Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.‘ 21 "His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.‘ 22 "He also who had received two talents came and said, 'Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides them.‘

10 23 "His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.‘ 24 "Then he who had received the one talent came and said, 'Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. 25 'And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.‘ 26 "But his lord answered and said to him, 'You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. 27 'So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. 28 'Therefore take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents. 29 'For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. 30 'And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'

11 The Kingdom of heaven is like...
The parable analized. The Kingdom of heaven is like... It is not, but it looks like… it's just a comparison.

12 Let's not forget what a parable is.
An earthly example with a heavenly meaning. In the "talents“, the Bible tells us that:

13 14For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. So before He goes, He wants to leave everything in Order. For that reason, He called the servants and gave them His money! Who is this man?

14 What did he give them? Talents
Matthew 25:15 [15] And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey. What did he give them? Talents

15 27Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers.
What was a Talent? Dinero. Money. 27Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers. A Talent, was the equivalent of 6,000 denarii. A denarii was = the wage of a working day.

16 Why did he do it like that? to every man according to his own ability;
15And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one Why did he do it like that? to every man according to his own ability;

17 16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. This was a good servant.

18 But not everything is happiness
17And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. But not everything is happiness

19 18But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money
Could you ever see yourself doing that? Would you say that it was “anger” in this man, that made him do that? What’s going on? Why is this man doing that? Why is he hiding the money?

20 Matthew 25:19 NKJV[19] After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them. See, the Master said: put my money to work while I’m away! He’s coming again! That’s the mistake of many, and they reason with themselves! “Well, he’s not coming back!”

21 Matthew 25:19-20 NKJV[20] "So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, 'Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.'

22 Matthew 25:21 NKJV[21] His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.' The beauty of all of this is that He knows our potential, and He will not give you more than what you can handle. The Lord was, and is, waiting for results in our lives! The master of those servants is fair, righteous, and loving.

23 Matthew 25:22 NKJV[22] He also who had received two talents came and said, 'Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides them.'

24 Matthew 25:23 NKJV[23] His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.' Is it the same praise as the one who brought 5 extra talents? YES! It is not about the amount, but about the obedience and the dedication to what was trusted unto us. He received two, he brought two more (not 4 or 6), and the Lord is very pleased with that man!

25 Matthew 25:24-25 NKJV[24] "Then he who had received the one talent came and said, 'Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. [25] And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.' Who told this man that?

26 Matthew 25:26 NKJV[26] "But his lord answered and said to him, 'You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. [27] So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. The Lord’s answer

27 The punishment for the wicked
Matthew 25:28-29 NKJV[28] Therefore take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents. [29] 'For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.

28 Matthew 25:30 NKJV[30] And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'

29 We have been called to be faithful to God
Applying the parable: We have been called to be faithful to God Diligence is rewarded; negligence is punished

30 God has given Talents to everyone!
Matthew 25:14 NKJV[14] "For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. We keep them, But He is the owner.

31 But according to our abilities.
Nobody can complain that in the church he's no good. We all receive Talents... But according to our abilities. Matthew 25:15 NKJV[15] And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey. One. or five Two

32 Jesus never promised to come back soon.
Matthew 25:19 NKJV[19] After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them. Everything should be done with the view that the day of reckoning is coming! 2 Corinthians 5:10 NKJV[10] For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

33 Do we want to enter into the Lord's joy? Then STOP giving excuses!!!
Matthew 25:21 NKJV[21] His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'

34 Like it or not, we have to put our
talents to work... Matthew 25:26 NKJV[26] "But his lord answered and said to him, 'You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. Otherwise, He will say: Why wicked? You wicked and lazy servant

35 He did not use his talent wisely.
What is the punishment then? Matthew 25:30 NKJV[30] And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'

36 Be productive where the Lord has given you ability and opportunity!
Many are the lessons that can be gleaned from this parable of "The Talents". The main lesson is simple: Be productive where the Lord has given you ability and opportunity! Someone may say: And, what is my Talent?

37 According to our abilities.
Determining our Talents REMEMBER THAT NOT ALL OF US HAVE THE SAME "TALENTS"... One has five. Another one has two. And, another has only one. According to our abilities. Rom 12:3-8

38 Determining our Talents
Romans 12:3-8 NKJV[3] For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. [4] For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, [5] so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. [6] Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; [7] or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; [8] he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

39 We are in the Kingdom. Are we putting our talents to work? We must not forget: There are no useless members in the church of Christ. Matthew 25:23 NKJV[23] His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'

40 Are we ready to receive that blessing? Then:
Let’s do what The Lord told us to do!
