1 PARCC Research Simulation Task
Mr. Campione

2 What is a Research Simulation Task?
Research Simulation tasks involve the gathering and inclusion of important information from several texts in various media formats on a particular topic or question. In other words, citing information from various texts or videos to help support your response. Research simulation tasks include taking notes, as providing a list of sources.

3 Sources of Information
Sources for the task can include quotes from: Videos Articles about a Topic Readings Primary Source (or written as a first hand account)

4 Objective Write a PARCC Research Simulation Task Response comparing and contrasting the Paleolithic and Neolithic Ages. Choose 2 topics we discussed (food supply, permanent shelters, communities, jobs, and trade) and discuss what each was like during the Paleolithic and Neolithic Ages. 2 sources are mandatory in order to be successful with the PARCC Research Simulation Task.

5 Citing Example During the Paleolithic Age, “people had lived in caves or rough, tent like structures” (History Alive, pg.28). The hominids lived in these structures because they were temporary and the hominids were always moving around in search of food. Any information you use from the texts or videos need to be in quotes.
