Biotic Factors These are living things in the ecosystem.
Living things include: Plants, animals, trees, people, bugs, bacteria, fungi, etc.

Abiotic Factors These are the non-living components of an ecosystem.
This includes: rocks, temperature, soil, rain, clouds, etc.

Ecosystem An ecosystem is a community of living organisms in conjunction with the nonliving components of their environment (things like air, water and mineral soil), interacting as a system. It refers to both biotic factors as well as abiotic factors. An ecosystem is self supporting. (Wikipedia)

Example Ecosystem: School
Biotic Factors: Teachers, Students, Paras, Custodians, Other staff, bugs, bacteria, etc. Abiotic: AC, light, technology, tables, desks, chairs, etc.
