2. Let’s Get Started! Today we are going to explore possessive nouns!
When working with possessive nouns we must remember to:
Circle the noun that owns the object.
Check to see if the noun is singular or plural.
Add an apostrophe to the end of a plural noun if it ends in s.
Add an apostrophe and an s if the plural noun does not already end in s.

A possessive noun is a noun that shows ownership of someone or something.

Since the noun girls ends in an s, all you have to do is put an apostrophe at the end.
