DM law (2013) rules (2015) remain valid Coordination between civilian and military remain imperative for disaster response Minister also instruct the focal director from RRD to continue planing and working with UNOCHA to implement the recommendations from the workshop as the minister believed that it is one of the important agenda for their ministry.

Recommendations/ Action Points/Activities (these will form part of the 2017 RCG work plan for the country) Move forwards key recommendations from the August 2016 Workshop in area of Coordination Information Management Capacity building Promote AADMER Work Programme in collaboration with ASEAN Countries SASOP Chapter 6 Roles/Responsibiliti es and Timeframe RRD as NDMA - national disaster management agency Note: further national consultation still required

Recommendations/ Action Points/Activities (these will form part of the 2017 RCG work plan for the country) Coordination Decision-makers from both sides should coordinate in emergency situations. There should an SoP which details who contact whom for what. Any communication should be directed at the right person. SOP development Appointment of CIVMIL focal person (both NDMA and Military) Roles/Responsibiliti es and Timeframe NOTE: further national consultation required

5 Information Management
MYANMAR– 2017 Work Plan Information Management Recommendations/ Action Points/Activities (these will form part of the 2017 RCG work plan for the country) Information sharing should be done in a timely manner at different levels. Improve information sharing mechanism In case of disaster, an operation/management centre should be set up at the field level, where the civil and military actors can manage the response in a coordinated manner. Improve field information exchange mechanism between civilian and military responders Roles/Responsibiliti es and Timeframe NOTE: further national consultation required
