1 I AM GOD AND THERE IS NONE ELSE

2 Isa. 46:5-10, “To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like? : yea, one shall cry unto him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of his trouble. They lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance, and hire a goldsmith; and he maketh it a god: they fall down, yea, they worship.

3 They bear him upon the shoulder, they carry him, and set him in his place, and he standeth; from his place shall he not remove: yea, one shall cry unto him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of his trouble.

4 Remember this, and shew yourselves men: bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors.   Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure.”

5 I. REPROVE

6 “To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like?”

7 CREATURE VS. CREATOR The making of idols.
Dan 3:1, 2, “Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.   CREATURE VS. CREATOR

8 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the princes, the governors, and the captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.”

9 “They lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance, and hire a goldsmith; and he maketh it a god: they fall down, yea, they worship.  They bear him upon the shoulder, they carry him, and set him in his place, and he standeth; from his place shall he not remove.” God shows their foolishness for having to make something with their own hands, carry it to a temple, and place it there to worship.

10 CONTRAST NOT COMPARISON
“Yea, one shall cry unto him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of his trouble.” There is no comparison between an idol god and Jehovah. Psa. 18:6, “In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.”

11 Psa. 34:15, “The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.”
Luke 18:7, “And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?”

12 II. REMEMBER

13 “Remember this, and shew yourselves men: bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors.   Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure.”

14 REMEMBER YOU ARE MEN NOT BRUTES
Remember this, and shew yourselves men: bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors.  1 Cor. 16:13, “Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.” REMEMBER YOU ARE MEN NOT BRUTES

15 bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors
REMEMBER THE LAW

16 Exodus 20:3-5, “Thou shalt have no other gods before me
Exodus 20:3-5, “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.  Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

17  Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.”

18 2. REMEMBER THE FORMER THINGS
“Remember the former things of old” Acts 1:3, “To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.”

19 Isa. 46:9, “Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me.” Isa. 48:3, “I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I shewed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass.”

20 III. TRUTH

21 “…for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure.”

22 1. I AM GOD AND THERE IS NONE ELSE
Psa. 86:8, “Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.” This none else is stated many times in the book of Isaiah (Isa. 45:5, 6, 14, 18, 21, 22, 47:8, 10). 1. I AM GOD AND THERE IS NONE ELSE

23 2. I AM GOD AND THERE IS NONE LIKE ME
Jer. 10:6, “Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy name is great in might.”

24 “Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done.”
God knows the future! God knows all things!

25 3. I AM GOD AND MY COUNSEL WILL STAND
The will of God shall be accomplished. Eph. 1:1, “Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus.” Psa. 115:3, “But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.”

26 4. I AM GOD AND I WILL DO WHAT I PLEASE
Psa. 115:3, “But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.”  4. I AM GOD AND I WILL DO WHAT I PLEASE

27 WHAT PLEASES GOD? Rom. 8:8, “So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.” John 8:29, “And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.” (Doing His Will) Rom. 15:1, 2, “We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.  Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.” (Pleasing Our Neighbour)
