Matter Revision 2. Draw particle diagrams for 3 states of matter
Write the definitions of an element, compound and a mixture. EXT: What is the difference between them all? 2. Draw particle diagrams for 3 states of matter EXT: Describe how these particles are arranged. 3. Describe the different process of where you can change the states of matter. EXT: What happens to particles when they are changing. Matter Revision 8. Describe what solubility is and how you know when a substance is saturated. EXT: Describe how you can investigate solubility in different temperatures. 4. Draw how you would carry out the following separating techniques: Filtration, evaporation, chromatography, distillation. EXT: What are you separating for each of these techniques? 6. What is the definition of diffusion? EXT: Describe the tea practical and what you found it. 7. Show how pressure changes using a diagram when the temperature is cold and hot. EXT: Explain using the movement of particles. 5. Describe what you did during the stearic acid practical and the cooling curve. EXT: What does a heating curve look like and what does it show? 9. Draw an example of a solvent, solute and solution with labels. EXT: Draw what happens to solute in a solvent to make a solution.
