FIP/P7-34, MINAEV V. et al. The Influence of Toroidal Magnetic Field Growth on Plasma Performance in the Spherical Tokamak Globus-M/-M2 During final Globus-M experimental campaign the toroidal magnetic field Bt and the plasma current Ip were increased by 25% up to 0.5 T and 250 kA respectively. An overall improvement in plasma performance was observed. Energy confinement time grew proportionally to toroidal magnetic field. About 30% D-D beam-plasma neutron rate rise was caused by growth of fast ion content in plasma due to the increase of the electron temperature Te and the decrease of the fast ion losses. 0.0 125.0 250.0 Ip, kA 1.5 3.0 4.5 6.0 Up, V 1.0 2.0 4.0 nl, ×1019 m-2 SXR, a.u. The first plasma with a current of 0.2 MA was achieved with a toroidal magnetic field of 0.5 T in April 2018. A full-scale plasma experiment with an increased toroidal magnetic field is planned for the end of the year. Ioffe Institute, St. Petersburg, Russian Federation
