The Mojave live around southern California. They live in the desert. The climate is hot in the day and cold at night.

3. Shelter
One type of shelter they built was called a thatched hut. They used sticks, grass, and straw to build their shelter. They had open doors to let the air in.

4. Food
They ate caterpillars, fish, rabbits and snakes. They gathered acorns, nuts, and seeds. They grew squash, beans, and corn.

5. Culture They made clay pots for storing and cooking
