Detailed description of contract:
Involving the strip out and alteration of an existing ‘central treatment’ facility located centrally on the second floor. The works involved complex mechanical and electrical installations and forming openings through the roof and structural floor slabs to route new ductwork and the like.
New air handling equipment was lifted onto the roof by crane and positioned onto a structural steel frame. Medical gases and building management systems were installed and commissioned by approved specialists. The project was completed in a ‘live’ Hospital environment and its success relied heavily upon constant communication with the client team and clinical staff.
