Narrator: Moses did as God commanded and ordered the mighty Pharaoh to set his slaves free, but the king did not obey. So God sent 10 terrible plagues against Egypt. All: (Snorting like pigs) Oink. Snort! Oink! Oink! Narrator: That’s plagues. Not pigs. Plagues. All: Oh. Sorry. Narrator: First, God made the rivers turn blood red. All: Yuck! Narrator: But Pharaoh would not let Israel go free. Narrator: Then hail and fire fell from heaven. All: (Screaming) Aaaaaaaaa! Pharaoh: Is that all you’ve got? Fuggitaboutit! Narrator: Then grasshoppers. Then darkness covered the land. Pharaoh: I like the dark. Fuggitaboutit! Narrator: Finally, God told Moses: God (Three Voices Together): Tell the whole congregation of Israel they are to take a lamb. Girls: Your lamb shall be without blemish. Boys: You shall slaughter it at twilight. Girls: Take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and the lintel of the houses. Boys: For I will pass through the land. Girls: I will strike down every firstborn. Boys: The blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you live. Girls: When I see the blood, I will pass over you. Boys: And no plague shall destroy you. Narrator: Thus says the Lord: God (Three Voices Together): About midnight I will go out… every firstborn in the land shall die. There will be a loud cry such as has never been nor will ever be again.
