6 Insulin, as we all have learnt:
- a kind of hormone - manufactured in pancreas

7 - maintain threshold blood glucose level
- Beta cells being destroyed - cannot produce insulin

8 You’ve got diabetes! - Secretions of insulin is insufficient
- or malfunctioned - blood glucose level rises - excess glucose carried out by urination You’ve got diabetes!

9 Types of diabetes - Type 1 diabetes - Type 2 diabetes
- autoimmunity of beta cells - Type 2 diabetes - not enough insulin produced - Gestational diabetes - develops among pregnant women

10 Factors leading to the disease:
1). heredity 2). obesity 3). Ageing 4). Lack exercising

There are alternatives to control… 1). Injections of insulin
