Insulin, as we all have learnt:
- a kind of hormone - manufactured in pancreas

- maintain threshold blood glucose level
- Beta cells being destroyed - cannot produce insulin

You’ve got diabetes! - Secretions of insulin is insufficient
- or malfunctioned - blood glucose level rises - excess glucose carried out by urination You’ve got diabetes!

Types of diabetes - Type 1 diabetes - Type 2 diabetes
- autoimmunity of beta cells - Type 2 diabetes - not enough insulin produced - Gestational diabetes - develops among pregnant women

Factors leading to the disease:
1). heredity 2). obesity 3). Ageing 4). Lack exercising

Complications: - higher risk of developing pancreatic cancer
- eyes, kidneys, nerves and skin related diseases - erectile dysfunctions

Complications (continue):
- this decreases in the no. of potassium(K) inside body, can lead to irregular heartbeats - death…

Though diabetes is still incurable,
There are alternatives to control… 1). Injections of insulin

2). Insulin pumps

Help preventing diabetes…
- Exercise regularly - healthy eating - body check annually
