Kinsey suggested that it is necessary to consider a variety of activities in assessing an individuals ranking on the continuum – fantasies, thoughts, emotional feelings, dreams, and frequency of sexual activity. It was first published in Sexual Behavior in the Human Male (1948) Klein Scale: Past – Present – Ideal Dr. Fritz Klein ( ) in his book The Bisexual Option. Storms Scale: Recognizes Bisexuality more In 1980, he proposed a new sexuality scale using an x-y axis. The Sexuality Axis has been criticised for implying that asexuality is a 'negative' option, and completely separate from other sexualities.
