The gallery must: scroll and have user controls present images of the chosen sports or activities present text-based information about the chosen sports or activities. The user must be able to return to the navigation screen from the gallery. Produce a series of sketches to illustrate your ideas for the gallery. You should annotate your sketches to explain your design decisions. Create the new this year gallery. Add the gallery to the action brochure. Update your assets table. Include details of how you developed the assets.

LO4 – Task 01 – New This Year Sketches
Guide for production (P) Breakdown of proposed stages (P) Indication of images to be used (P) Details of control methods (M/D) Detailed descriptive text (M/D) Control options and browser issues (D) In keeping with the theme (D) Task 1 (P, M, D) You will now need to produce a storyboard for your animation. The local community animation will need to contain a series of relevant images with textual content. The still images will need to be timed on the screen. The sketches should be used as an aid to making the Gallery Page and should allow you to see a range of scenes from new events from the company. Use the sketch template here (M/D). 1 Create and annotate a series of sketches to demonstrate how your would like your gallery to look. LO4 – Task 02 – Gallery Images
Consider of images and appropriateness Sourced and stored from legitimate locations. Images related to local community. Quality of stored images (M/D) Consideration of file size and image proportions (M/D) Task 2 (P/M/D) – ‘Splash Out’ would like you to find a range of appropriate images that relate to your choice of New Events. These should include images such as stand-up paddle boarding. You will need to research and gather a range of images that best represent the company and target audience age (18-24). You should remember to source these images in a format that is in proportional to the screen dimensions, quality and subject. 2 Source and store a range of images for the New This Year Gallery. These images should include at least 9 pictures or more , 3 per gallery, that are locally relevant, in proportion and of good quality. Consideration of all the elements sources should be put into your source table from LO1. Consideration of copyright should also be given.

LO4 – Task 03 – Creating the Gallery

There are different ways of doing this but what is expected hints at doing this on a web page. Using Mediator would work better. The conditions are that the gallery must: scroll and have user controls present images of the chosen sports or activities present text-based information about the chosen sports or activities. The user must be able to return to the navigation screen from the gallery. 3 Using a suitable package, create the ‘New This Year’ gallery using images gathered, action buttons and a link back to the Action Brochure. Merit Using a range of tools, create and edit the Gallery to make it more suitable for the target audience to include action controls, appropriately proportioned images and a link to the action brochure.

LO4 – Task 03 – Creating the Gallery
To create the gallery there are a number of different programs to do so, all with their own learning curve. Provided are linked to two pre-done gallery javascript files for you to edit. Open the file here or here in a web creation package, FrontPage or Dreamweaver, or go to Gallery 01 or Gallery 02 and follow the instructions. Save your images into the same folder as the galleries provided. Update your sources table. Change and evidence the code links to the first images for your own images. Run and evidence the pages in a browser to see what they look like. Copy and evidence the code for a second gallery and third gallery beneath the first one so you have three lines of galleries. Change and evidence the text to your own text that describes the events. Add and evidence a link to the bottom of the page to go to the Action Brochure.

It must include: a drop down list for users to nominate their favourite activity a facility for users to request further details text boxes for a user’s address and feedback. Create the find out more contact screen. Add the screen to the action brochure. 4 Task 4 (P/M/D) – Using the look of the Welcome Screen, create a Find out More Form. For Merit and Distinction, grades are judged on the quality of the finished form and how it functions.

The find out more contact screen must be an adapted version of the welcome screen. It must include: a drop down list for users to nominate their favourite activity a facility for users to request further details text boxes for a user’s address and feedback. To do this follow these steps: Open the Welcome Page in Flash Move and evidence the images to the right and take away their animations. Follow the video steps on the right Add and evidence in a link to the Action Brochure when done. Save and evidence the file as a Flash File just in case. Export and evidence the file as a Html or SWF file. Or Click Here
