Further (flightpath C): Describe how therapeutic cloning produces an embryo with the same genes as the patient so they are not rejected and can be used for medical treatment.
Challenge (flightpath B&A): Evalulate the ethical consequences of the use of stem cells and recommend when they should be used.

3. Elise has diabetes. She has to inject herself with insulin every day for the rest of her life.
A new treatment for diabetes has been developed. It uses stems grown from embryos.
Would you advise Elise to use the treatment? What information would you need to be able to make a decision?
