God Provides Food Exodus 16:2-4
The viewpoint has to change, don’t desire to go back like they did. Many times a person will long for the old ways of bondage after they’ve gotten free. Focus on the promised land ahead. Forsake the pleasure of sin as Moses did.

Meeting with God Exodus 3:12; 19:6 show they were to go up the mountain and all be priests, serving Him directly. Exodus 19:13, they were to come up the mount when the trumpet sounded on the third day. Instead, they did not follow Moses up the mountain, but held back (19:16-17 and Deuteronomy 5:5). Optional: use picture of Mt. Sinai

Friends or Slaves? Exodus 20:1-2
Guard Rails, not prison bars. Go full speed to your destiny by following the moral guidelines the Lord has put up. Why the Ten Commandments? Because the people rejected a personal relationship. The law of Moses was for rebellious people. God disciplined them to preserve a people for His name and His Messiah. We do not want to go back to the law but forward to the Promise.

God's Presence God’s presence in their lives was necessary. Exodus 33
Each morning they opened their tent flaps and saw God (tents all faced Him). We should start each day in His presence. Praying at the end of the day only, is like studying for the test after you take it.

P.R.A.Y.E.R. Praise Repent Ask Yield Escape Rejoice
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. P.R.A.Y.E.R. Six vital steps to effective prayer. The “Lord’s Prayer” is a pattern prayer (“pray like this”). Begin and end with praise and worship. God doesn’t need worship. We need to worship Him because that takes us where He is.
