2 S- STANDARDS Great as basic guidelines/ structure for teachers.
Standards should not dictate curriculum. The curriculum should be results-driven, not content driven by standards. Should not be restraints on teachers.

3 T = Technology Resources enhance curriculum.
Provides unlimited sources. Provides connections to “real world.” Helps expand previous knowledge. Demonstrates Piaget’s theories

4 A = Application Applying classroom material to real-life situations.
Collaborative curriculum Finding commonalities in classroom material and student’s lives Applying the material to the world Goal: to build well rounded, informed students.

5 N = Nourish the whole child
Children should be taught in a wide variety of subjects to become a well-rounded individual Take advantage of child’s strengths. Should also be encouraged to explore many areas and build up weaker areas. Dewey was a proponent of nourishing the whole child.

6 D = Developmental Theory
