For Christ there had to be a cross, not because He was powerless to prevent it, but because man was powerless without it to atone for his own sins. Many of them deal with events surrounding the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. At least 56 of them were fulfilled within a twenty- four hour period surrounding the crucifixion.
