2. Introduction to tenses
Verb tenses tell us how an action relates to the flow of time. There are three main verb tenses in English: present, past and future.
All tenses follow a different show of time .
Such as the past tense follows past ,
future tense follows future tense follows future .
The present tense follows present .

3. PAST TENSE
The past tense is used for actions in a time which has already happened. 
Example – present past
see saw
watch watched
sleep slept
I saw you at the mid town hall .
I watched a film last night .
I slept last night .

5. The Present tense
The present tense is used for the things that are happening.
The present simple tense doesn't seem very simple. ... We use the present simple tense to express the following ideas: To state facts or general truths.
I am writing
I have written
I need to go.

6. Past simple tense
The past simple is usually formed by adding d, ed, or ied to the base form of the verb, however, in English there are many irregular verbs that take on a completely different form in the past tense. 
Examples are :
I studied last night .
I watched a movie last night .
Prathish went to the market to buy thermocol .

8. Past perfect tense I had eaten the food.
The PAST PERFECT TENSE indicates that an action was completed (finished or "perfected") at some point in the past before something else happened. This tense is formed with the past tense form of "to have" (HAD) plus the past participle of the verb .

10. Past Continuous tense
The past continuous describes actions or events in a time before now, which began in the past and is still going on at the time of speaking. In other words, it expresses an unfinished or incomplete action in the past.
He was waiting at home all day when she sent him the message .
Alan was cutting the grass the other day when the snake appeared .
I was not sleeping when you got home.

11. Past perfect continuos tense
The PAST PERFECT PROGRESSIVE TENSE indicates a continuous action that was completed at some point in the past. This tense is formed with the modal "HAD" plus "BEEN," plus the present participle of the verb (with an -ing ending): "I had been working in the garden all morning

14. Present simple tense
In the present simple 3rd person singular (he, she, it), add s, es, or ies to the base form of the verb

16. Future tense
There are no inflected forms for the future in English (nothing like those -ed or -s endings in the othertenses). Instead, the future tense employs the helping verbs will or shall with the base form of the verb: She will leave soon. We shall overcome.
Examples are:
I will have been doing the work.
