From Our Church Principles We purpose to support and uphold the ideal of the Christian home. A Christian marriage involves a man and woman, both believers, living according to Biblical principles, committed to each other exclusively for life, and seeking to rear godly children.

A Man and Woman Genesis 1:27 So God created man in His own image; He created him in the image of God; He created them male and female. 1 st Corinthians 11:9 Man was not created for woman, but woman for man.

Both Believers 2 nd Corinthians 6:14-15 Do not be mismatched with unbelievers. For what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness? What agreement does Christ have with Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?

Both Believers but he must belong to the Lord1 st Corinthians 7:39, NIV: A woman is bound to her husband as long as he lives. But if her husband dies, she is free to marry anyone she wishes, but he must belong to the Lord.

Both Believers Nehemiah 13:23-27Nehemiah 13:23-27 23.In those days I also saw Jews who had married women from Ashdod, Ammon, and Moab. 24. Half of their children spoke the language of Ashdod or of one of the other peoples but could not speak Hebrew.

Both Believers 25.I rebuked them, cursed them, beat some of their men, and pulled out their hair. I forced them to take an oath before God and said: You must not give your daughters in marriage to their sons or take their daughters as wives for your sons or yourselves!

Both Believers 26.Didnt King Solomon of Israel sin in matters like this? There was not a king like him among many nations. He was loved by his God and God made him king over all Israel, yet foreign women drew him into sin. 27.Why then should we hear about you doing all this terrible evil and acting unfaithfully against our God by marrying foreign women?

Living According to Biblical Principles Proverbs 31:30 Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord will be praised. Luke 1:6 Both were righteous in Gods sight, living without blame according to all the commandments and requirements of the Lord.

Committed to Each Other Exclusively for Life Matthew 19:3-6Matthew 19:3-6 3.Some Pharisees approached Him to test Him. They asked, Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife on any grounds? 4.Havent you read, He replied, that He who created them in the beginning made them male and female,

Committed to Each Other Exclusively for Life 3.and He also said: For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh? 4.So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, man must not separate.

Seeking to Rear Godly Children Malachi 2:15, NLT Didn't the LORD make you one with your wife? In body and spirit you are his. And what does he want? Godly children from your union. Proverbs 31:26 She opens her mouth with wisdom, and loving instruction is on her tongue Ephesians 6:4 And fathers… bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. Proverbs 20:11 Even a young man is known by his actions by whether his behavior is pure and upright
