The degree we feel something meets our needs, wants or expectations.
Perceived Value = Persons opinion of a product’s value to him or her. 3

3. What is a Brand?
A brand identifies the products and/or services of a company.
As consumers we gain TRUST in brands.

4. Brands can be valuable! Licensing your brand
You SELL someone else the rights to use your name to sell a product or service.
This is one way to PROFIT from your brand.
The drawback to licensing can be a loss of control.
Companies can sell others the right to use their name.
This can be in the form of franchising and/or licensing.

5. “Your Brand” Project
What? Identify and explain common business terms. Prepare presentations and network. Evaluate the importance of ownership. How? Challenge = Your challenge is to create your own brand that symbolizes YOU. - Select and design product packaging (cereal box, t-shirt, shoe box, etc.). - Create YOUR brand name.Include the following on your packaging: Brand name, graphics or illustrations, ingredients (your personal characteristics), product features-benefits (your personal “selling” features and their benefits), endorsement or cross-promotion strategy, and other creative packaging features that will inform the marketplace (us) and sell YOU/YOUR brand.
