6. When I choose to go against this plan and live in sin, I am choosing to live as if His death on the cross never happened; as if it has no meaning; as if it deserves no consideration; and as if His bleeding and dying for me does not matter.

The noun “forgiveness” (Gk.: aphesis) comes from a verb which means “to send away, to bid to depart.” God sends our sins away. They no longer stand between us and God.
