5 02 ACHIEVEMENTS ACHIEVEMENTS Project has substantially contributed to the joint (EUROCAE and RTCA) development of the AeroMACS profile based on mobile WiMAX standard Extensive simulations have been carried out to validate the AeroMACS profile AeroMACS ground prototypes/mock-ups testbed platforms developed. Testbed will support laboratory and airport tests within the integration and testing activities Hardware prototypes are delivered to further validate the profile and confirm the simulation results and support both laboratory and Toulouse airport tests AeroMACS system implementation document delivered, including Ground Prototypes Description and Verification Objectives and Verification Strategy that supports the Integration and Testing activities Support to standardisation bodies for AeroMACS profile standardisation: Eurocae WG-82, RTCA SC-223, ICAO WG-S and Wimax Forum (AWG) Ongoing coordination with US/FAA

WA6 Integration and Testing (I) Description: T006 Integration and lab testing - Phase 1: The main goal of this activity is the design and implementation of a testbed platform encompassing the functionalities of specified e/aero profile This task will enable the project to progress from SESAR simulated datalink and SW based scenarios towards HW datalink proofs Tests on Thales and Selex BS prototypes will be performed in Laboratory covering Phase 1 Verification Objectives described in D05.2 Deliverable T010 Integration and testing - Phase 2: Continuation of Phase 1 Integration and testing, Phase 2 will plan, execute and report the set of mandatory Verification Objectives, notably the ones with Thales prototype at Toulouse airport, and the testing of interoperability on air interface

WA6 Integration and Testing (II) Description: T011 Additional Phase 2 testing - lab and Toulouse airport: Continuation of Phase 2 testing, this task will plan, execute and report the set of optional Verification Objectives described in the Verification Strategy The task covers both testing in laboratories and in real environment (Toulouse airport) The consolidated report will serve as input to refining the AeroMACS profile produced under WA3 T012 Final prototype Availability – Selex/Thales: This task will produce the Availability Note of the manufacturer's prototypes, revisited once the testings are completed.

WA6 Integration and Testing (III) Progress: Verification Plan (VP) for Phase 1 testing: first draft issued for P internal review Verification Report (VR) Phase 1 : internal draft Thales and Selex Laboratory Tests: ongoing Toulouse Airport test: anticipated with DSNA (even if now planned in 2014), first site survey already occurred in 2012, new meeting for details confirmation under preparation Airport testing planning: 9.16 Airport testbed integrated and ready:      26/07/2013 Airport testbed integrated and ready:    18/03/2014

T07 Standardization and Global Interoperability Planning: Actual forecast date: 04/02/2014 Progress: Open Consultation Process for the AeroMACS MOPS just completed – publication is expected by end of year Draft MASPS available - completion planned by end of year WMF documents (AeroMACS PICS and CRSLv1.2) under finalisation for submission to WMF available Draft SARPS available Support to EUROCAE WG82, RTCA SC223, ICAO ACP WGS, Wimax Forum AWG
