International recognition
Kenya is a Member State of the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) Maintained nine calibration and measurement capabilities in the BIPM database Maintained accreditation status in five laboratories Kenya currently holds the Chairmanship/Presidency of the Intra-Africa Metrology System (AFRIMETS), the Regional Metrology Organization for Africa Participated in the National Metrology Institute of South Africa (NMISA) 70/10 years Conference and Celebration from 2-4 August 2017
