Stand Up! How does it feel? Inclusivity, why bother?
The more students involved, the society has a better service, there are new people for the members to meet, and future proofing. Reflect on your own experience of your first year at clubs & societies fayre. Which societies did you originally think about joining? Which societies did you choose to join. Why the difference? The more students involved, the better service they can provide the society with, new people for the members to meet, future proofing.

Inclusivity Where does a society end and a clique start?
A small close-knit group of people who do not readily allow others to join them Naturally, every society is a group of people who share a common interest. Don’t preach expertise, or only one particular culture Ensure you look outward, why wouldn’t you? Freshers’ Week stalls What makes for a good Clubs and Socs experience?

Inclusivity Unsure of how to become more inclusive, or where to start?
Check the Earn Your Stripes criteria! Taken steps to help new members or freshers settle into their society. Actively participate in one a Students’ Union campaigns. Make an effort to encourage new members throughout the year (not just at society sign ups as lots of less engaged students don't attend). Work to raise awareness of what the society does to different groups of people. Explore innovative new ways to promote the club
