Land Acknowledgement Statement
Simcoe County District School Board acknowledges that we are situated on the traditional land of the Anishinaabeg people. We acknowledge the enduring presence of First Nation, Métis and Inuit people on this land and are committed to moving forward in the spirit of reconciliation and respect.

MUSIC Any students in grade 7 who have not yet received a music instrument form, please come see Mr. Ferris today during first or second break. Please return any instrument rental forms and money to Mr. Ferris today. Grade 5 and 6 Students: Junior band preparations are underway. Bring your instrument forms in with instrument choices. Rehearsals will be Monday’s 6-7 pm this year. Watch announcements for when our first practice is! Hope to see you there!

Worsley’s Terry Fox Fundraising Goal
Terry Fox set an enormous goal of trying to run a marathon a day while asking every Canadian to donate $1. He fell short of that physical goal, but his foundation has more than exceeded his financial goals. Our goal here at Worsley is to raise $4000. DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS: Cross Country
To all grade 4 to 8 students who would like to participate in cross country….please meet Mr. Steeves, Mr. Evans and Mr. Taylor at 10:40 by the baseball diamond for Worsley’s first gummy run of the year. Wear running shoes!

DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS: CRAFT CLUB!!! Our first Craft Club meeting will be on Thursday, September 20th at afternoon recess in Mme Steeves’ classroom. This is for grade 2 and 3 students. You do not need to bring your own supplies for this meeting!!

DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS: Intermediate Girls Basketball Tryout
There will be an intermediate girls basketball tryout on Monday during second break in the gym. Please wear appropriate gym attire: gym clothing and gym shoes. Also, do not wear jewellery. Please wait for Mr. Knox or Ms. McCartney to arrive before entering the gym.

Flag Football Tryouts will continue today at first break. This is our last tryout day so please make sure you are there! Meet on the North Yard at 11am!

DANCE CLUB Primary Dance Club meets today in the gym at afternoon recess. Please come down after the second bell. This is for grade 1, 2, and 3 students!! AV Club members are welcome to help!

Enviro Club will be meeting in the garden on Monday, second break. Bring your lunches! This is for grades 4-8, all are welcome to come and get their hands in the dirt and taste some garden treats.
