2. What is the Showcase?
You will create works of art responding to the exhibitions at the MCASD.
You will exhibit your artwork at an established and internationally known art museum.
We encourage students to engage and create art using different art mediums/styles.

3. What type are some types of art styles that HTH students can use to create unique works of art? Moreover, What art style will students use to best represent their theme?

4. Installation art:
Art that is created, constructed, or installed on the site where it is exhibited, often incorporating materials or physical features on the site. Tara Donovan

5. Performance art:
An art form that combines visual art with dramatic performance. (17 sec)

6. Spoken Word:
Spoken word is performance-based poetry that is focused on the aesthetics of word play and story- telling. It often includes collaboration and experimentation with other art forms such as music, theater, and dance.

7. Found object Art:
Art created from undisguised, but often modified, objects or products that are not normally considered art, often because they already have a non-art function. Jean Shin

15. How can art be used to inform people/persuade them/ change their opinions?
Art connects itself to the superstructure of a culture/society since all art has a “context.” Context can change human behavior. How does it change behavior in a societal and personal basis?
