All Data May 2013 Preferred Culture Circumplex; N = 28 Remember this is going to be the first time that your staff have seen this model There is a lot to take in So you could just mention Top part is about satisfaction – bottom is about our security The left is about task orientation and the right about people Prescriptive model where we are looking aspirationally towards our future No organisation or person is there This is the start of identifying an aspirational work place Refer back to being really similar to the culture they have already talked about There are three styles – Constructive – blue - where we are wanting to focus and grow this area Passive/defensive – green area Defensive/aggressive – red Talk about the specific areas – we are wanting to grow the blue constructive areas. In your resources is a card OCI that provides a brief description of the 12 styles. You can give a card out to staff – and just talk them through The definitions as it relates to this model may be different to their personal interpretation There is a lot to take in – they don’t need to do it all now 1
