4 The Bishop Justus Virtues
Students and staff at Bishop Justus form a Christian community. As part of being able to talk about our Bishop Justus community, this term’s worship will focus on our six virtues, which are an important part of who we are.

5 What is a virtue? Virtue A virtue is a quality or attribute which is good and is something which can make the world a better place. Many religious people have been described as ‘being virtuous.’

6 The Bishop Justus Virtues
Faith Hope Love Wisdom Courage Kindness

7 Success through faith, love and learning.
Our school vision As well as ou six school virtues, we also have our vision statement (or motto). This sums up what we are all here to achieve: Success through faith, love and learning.

8 Receive (today’s Bible reading)
‘Faith means being sure of the things we hope for. And faith means knowing that something is real even if we do not see it. People who lived in the past became famous because of faith. It is by faith we understand that the whole world was made by God’s command. This means that what we see was made by something that cannot be seen.’ The Book of Hebrews, Chapter 11, Verses 1-3 International Children’s Bible

9 Explore This week we are going to explore the virtue of FAITH
As a Church school, faith in God is of great importance to us. Faith is expressed in our daily acts of worship, but there are other dimensions to faith; faith in humanity (ourselves and others) as children of God and faith that there is truth and meaning to life. For discussion: What does ‘faith’ mean to you?

10 Explore During worship this week, please explore the virtue of faith. Here are some ideas for discussions to help you understand the importance of faith to our community. You might want to make a display or poster on your tutor group notice board. What do you have faith in? What do you need to have faith in something or someone? How can you loose faith in something or someone? As a Bishop Justus student, what do you need to have faith in? As the Bishop Justus community, how can we show faith? (your tutor could pass ideas to your learning director or the Chaplain)

11 Respond (this week’s prayer)
Heavenly Father, Sometimes it can be difficult to have faith in a world which can be scary and unpredictable, but we remember Jesus Christ’s never-ending faith in your love Lord. Help us to have faith in You Lord, in our school community and in ourselves and the talents and abilities you have given each of us. Amen

12 Go Let us bless the Lord Thanks be to God
