Introduction Speech production: is the process by which thoughts are translated into speech. Speech production can be spontaneous such as when a person creates the words of a conversation. Vocabulary The development of speech production.

Stages There are three stages of speech production, conceptualization, formulation, and articulation. conceptualization The intention to create speech links a desired concept to the particular spoken words to be expressed.

Disorders in speech production
Aphasia: Impairment of language function due to localized brain damage that lets to difficulty in understanding and producing linguistics forms. Broca,s aphasia (motor aphasia) is seriouse language disorder. Wernick,s aphasia(sensory aphasia) is langauge disorder that results in difficulties in auditory comprehension. Conduction aphasia is due to arcuate fasciculus
