3 Who We Are Vision Statement: BVN will be the primary resource for encouraging, educating and connecting businesses that support employee volunteer programs as a business strategy. Mission Statement: BVN is a catalyst for businesses to build and promote successful workplace volunteer programs. Community Connections Team goals: Encourage community within Placon Educate, communicate and increase awareness Coordinate activities to connect Team Members with the Community

4 BVN Committees Education - develop program meetings and coordinate resources for training, education and partnerships Marketing - promote the BVN to increase membership and visibility in the community Membership - promote the BVN and recruit potential members Special Projects - recommend, organize and administer special activities Community Connections Team goals: Encourage community within Placon Educate, communicate and increase awareness Coordinate activities to connect Team Members with the Community

5 2010 Accomplishments Sponsored Business Volunteer Award
Created Goals and Action Plan to support Strategic Plan Financial support to print the “Wish Book” Community Connections Team goals: Encourage community within Placon Educate, communicate and increase awareness Coordinate activities to connect Team Members with the Community

6 2010 Special Projects Days of Caring Signature Project at the Allied Boys and Girls Club 29 BVN companies participated in Days of Caring for a total of 1790 volunteers (includes 800+ volunteers from American Family who did a “Summer of Caring!) Community Connections Team goals: Encourage community within Placon Educate, communicate and increase awareness Coordinate activities to connect Team Members with the Community

7 2010 Special Projects Teen Gift Drive distribution:
1400 Dane County Teens received gifts 46 BVN volunteers helped at the distribution Placon Corporation and Dane County Credit Union held Teen Gift Drives
