Fun Food Friday – weekly cooking activities
Hello Families, This year we will be incorporating life skills into our fun Friday activities and do a weekly cooking lesson. Within this lesson, students will work on skills needed to make yummy treats! These skills include: following directions/a recipe, sequencing events, measuring, pouring, the use of a microwave, and many more! Each week students will complete sequencing assignments along with simply worksheets where they must identify tools and ingredients and answer questions about the snack we have made. This will be a FUN learning activity for all of our students, but it can only be successful with some help from you all. Please see the calendar attached for food items we will need for our first month. We will send home a new calendar each month so you all know what we are doing in our classrooms! If you are able, please donate what you can! This project is being funded solely but the teachers in the C.L.A.S.S. program so your help will be greatly appreciated! Please let us know if your child has any dietary restrictions! We don’t want someone eating something they should not! We are looking forward to a fun, exciting, school year! Thanks so much! Your C.L.A.S.S Team - Anna Ramos, Quincey Nicholas, Jamie Ranabargar
