Dose-response relationship between MED (mg) used and number of CMEs on Day 1, on Day 0 and 1, and Days 1 to 4 after LCS. Multiple regression analysis demonstrates that the number of patients with multiple CMEs was significantly associated with MED for all patients on (a) Day 1 postsurgery (Y= X), and on Days 0 and 1 (b) (Y= X) (P<0.001). Additionally on postoperative Days 1 through 4 the number of patient-days with multiple CMEs was significantly associated with MED for all patients (Y= X; P<0.001).
