1. Consider what impact LGBTQ people have on you – recognize that they come in peace and are not dangerous or threatening.

2. Recognize what gay, lesbian, and transgender people have in common with us, and learn to accept their differences.

3. Create the presence of LGBTQ identities on television and in the movies so that we feel like we know someone, even if we don’t know someone in person.

4. Educate people about SOGI topics so that they are informed.

5. Recognize the achievements of LGBTQ people throughout history.

6. Limit gender binary restrictions (for example – create Universal washrooms in public places).

7. Be prepared to recognize everyone as a fellow human and commit to treating everyone respectfully.
