Rosemount Area Athletic Association (RAAA) is a volunteer organization that serves the children of our community through athletic programs designed to develop both social & athletic skills.

13. Updates on Fields and Schedule
As of this meeting, we have still not been given a timeframe on the release of the fields
Releasing fields is out of our hands
We do our best to assure that your children will not lose baseball time
Still looking into a few location changes

14. Scheduling Challenges
Due to the weather and the fields issues, we held off on dropping the schedule
If the schedule is made and we don’t get the fields on time, it will need to be entirely re-done
No need to do the work twice

26. Pitching Commentary Pitching is key to a team’s success
Players can pitch safely; supervision and instruction are key
Parental awareness and support are needed to responsibly monitor pitching activity and player health
Throwing is like weight lifting, build up capacity over time
Play catch and play “long toss”

27. Pitching Commentary
When a pitcher’s mechanics start to break down from fatigue, it’s time for that pitcher to rest
Avoid overuse; “trying to do too much too soon”
Warm up to throw, don’t throw to warm up
Ease into throwing early in the spring
Avoid throwing curve balls and sliders until player is physically mature
Do not encourage your player to play through significant pain; cease throwing activity and consult a medical professional
