The “Closet Scene” Watch the two versions of the “closet scene”
Which one is more effective in conveying the emotions of the characters? Why? Which is more effective in driving the plot of the play? Why? Do you think it should be acted out, or left as Shakespeare intended it?

Act 2 Scene 2 Read through the first part of this scene with your small group Divide the scene up into sections (usually marked by characters entering or exiting) and analyze each in turn Use the prompt sheet to discern the deeper meaning of the play Answer the prompts in your notebook
