Times tables – controversial issue Children – struggle! Parents often ask for tips / help No more weekly class tests Use activities and games to teach Still important to practice, in a fun way! Knowing times tables will help in other areas of maths

Images – arrays, toy cars etc Counting stick Digit cards Fact of the day / week Fizz Buzz Order to teach tables – 2, 10, 5, 3, 6, 4, 8, 9, 7, 11, 12 (need to know all by end of primary school) Using known facts to work out unknown facts Grid game Multiplication bingo
