Share-net grew out of the AIDS Coordination Bureau that was hosted by KIT since 1987. Share-Net Netherlands (SN-NL) was established in as the Dutch network on SRHR. In 2013 SN-NL became Share-Net International (SNI), the Knowledge Platform on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights with a broader international focus and stronger focus on research and knowledge management. Since then 3 new hubs were started in Bangladesh, Jordan and Burundi. In a new 5 year strategy was developed. New branding part of the strategy.

4 Five year strategy Who are we? We are the Knowledge Platform on SRHR that brings together communities of practice (CoPs) around the world for knowledge management and match-making. We currently have 4 knowledge hubs: Bangladesh (2014), Burundi (2016), Jordan (2017) and the Netherlands (since 2000).

5 Five year strategy SNI is a membership network working in the field of SRHR consisting of: Policy makers Researchers Practitioners (implementers) Private sector actors Advocates Students and young researchers Media actors Who are we? - Actors

6 What do we want from the future?
Five year strategy Sustainable growth. We want to expand and grow our network and ensure our hubs and their communities of practice can be efficient and effective, long into the future.

7 Our ambitions for the end of 2022
Five year strategy Our ambitions for the end of 2022 Four new country hubs. Annual funding of minimally €3-5 mil, member revenue of €100,000, and sponsorship income of €250,000. At least 20 partnerships. Robust online M&E system.

8 THE VISION Five year strategy All people have the freedom of choice, are able to make informed decisions, can take action on their sexual and reproductive health and have access to quality care to meet their sexual and reproductive health needs and rights.

9 Five year strategy THE MISSION is to strengthen linkages between research, policy and practice through sharing, generating, translating and promoting the use of knowledge for the development of better policies and practices in SRHR.

10 Rationale for the branding
Share-Net wants to depict that it: It is a global hub for people working on SRHR, connecting people and knowledge Is inspired by the members and partners and in return inspires others Is the ‘to-go’ point and benchmark for organisations in need of SRHR information and access to local, regional and international networks.
